Castles in the air

I have just started reading a book titled 'The Intelligent Investor' by Benjamin Graham. This book is considered Bible for all those interested in Security Analysis, Shares and Bond Markets, Deep value investing, Fundamental analysis etc, with Benjamin Graham being the 'GOD' in this field. Incidentally, Warren Buffet was one of his pupils in Columbia University, and regarded Benjamin as one of the most influential persons in his life. You can read more about Benjamin Graham on the following link-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Graham

I will suggest the readers to read this book at some point of time---I am not reading this because I am interested in share market or anything of that sort. I have never invested a penny in share market, and dont even intend to do. The reason why I am reading this book is because of the way this book desribes the mental make-up of people, the way people analyze certain situations and react, the way herd mentality in the market make people buy at high prices, and sell at low. The idea is to understand more about human mind, driven by greed, fear, euphoria and irrationality, with a backdrop of investing.

Alrite, now coming back to this post, the real reason why I am writing is to share something written in the book 'The Intelligent Investor'. And here it goes-

"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."
- Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Hi T-Rex,
I sincerely feel u should go ahead with the GMAT and the MBA app procedure. Because of ur enormous expereince you have got a great upper hand over most other applicants.

R2 stands for Round 2 which is usually the second phase when applications are invited.

You can do some research on the schools which encourage a second MBA or I can tell you which are the most 2nd MBA frndly schools.

But ofcourse it all depends on whether ur heart tells u to do it and whether u are in love with what u wanna do.

All the best.
Keep in touch and keep blogging.

Hey T-Rex,

How are u doin....Hope you are doin great....

It was nice to see your message after so many ways... I see you havn't blogged for long.....

I have changed my blog address to http://twoaces.blogspot.com

My privacy and confidentiality (which I never had) was being compromised. I felt that my chances would of getting into MBA would get affected either in a good way or a bad way. Hence I removed all references to my name and changed the address and got off the MBA blog community....
I still keep in touch with everyone on the community.

I landed back in India after 9 months now.... Its been a long time. My dresses have got tighter and I had started to lose my mind.....

So I partied hard this weekend...
Will probably do the same this Saturday.....

Hope you are having a nice time yourself.....

Keep in touch and Keep blogging. Let me what you are planning about ur own MBA App. What have you decided....

Working in india is pretty boring....but I guess I atleast have my fair share of Personal life and balance....
...chalo ....

keep blogging and keep messaging...

Adios...
